A Little Valentine's Day Love

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I have been baking up a storm, ready to show my loved ones just how much I care with some homemade goodies. As I have been trying out some new recipes, I thought I would share with you some sweet treats that you may want to make for your own Valentine! Here are some easy recipes that will make you look like a star baker!

The first recipe I like is chocolate covered pretzels. These adorable pretzel rods are quick and easy for any level of baker. Simply melt your chocolate, dip your pretzels and cover in any topping you like.

I chose to use three colors of candy melts, for variety and covered the rods in all manner of red and pink sprinkles. I even found some heart shaped ones! Don’t worry if you can’t find specific Valentine’s Day toppings, any sprinkles will do! Place them in a vase, add some flowers to your table top and you will have a picture perfect dessert ready to be enjoyed!

The second recipe is for those who like a more traditional dessert. Everyone loves cupcakes, and sundae cupcakes are a cute twist on a classic. These ice cream sundae cupcakes are all about the decoration. With a ice-cream scoop, melted chocolate and sprinkles you can elevate a classic vanilla cupcake. Your loved one will be asking which bakery these are from.

If you want to make your Valentine feel very unique, try displaying your cupcakes on individual cupcake stands. These create a beautiful presentation that will add that extra special touch for your extra special someone!

Whichever recipe you choose your sweetheart will feel the love and appreciate your effort to create a beautiful and romantic dessert. Nothing says I love you like cooking from the heart. So share your passion for food with the person you are most passionate about and have a lovely Valentine's Day!
